Therefore, any restaurant selling Ayam Taliwang from the surrounding area will not disappoint. Where to try: There are plenty of Ayam Taliwang restaurants all over the island. However, I would suggest Taliwang Khas Pak Udin’s one.
- Nasi Balap Puyung
Puyung Racing Rice contains rice, shredded chicken chili sauce, chunks of long beans, and red onions that don’t seem to be cooked but doused in hot oil. Soybeans are like creamy plus eggs. This menu is cool to eat at breakfast, but for lunch or dinner, it’s okay too. The best part of this rice is the chicken chili sauce, deliciously spicy, salty right on the tongue. Besides that, the chunks of long beans are also delicious, especially for those who like vegetables. It seems like they will fall in love. What makes it uncomfortable is that this food is very oily, especially at the last meal, you will see the remaining lumps of oil.
- Sate Bulayak
Sate Bulayak is a typical Lombok food consisting of Sate and Bulayak. Sate in Sate Bulayak consists of beef, and occasionally. There is also an offal. How to enjoy it by dipping the rice in the curry sauce and then eating satay. Very delicious! The recommended place is Sate Bulayak Suranadi.
- Bebalung
Even though I enjoy Tengkleng – an ordinary soup you can find in Yogyakarta that uses mainly goat bones, I still don’t like Bebalung. Bebalung consists of beef ribs cooked with spices composed of coriander, galangal, and garlic. There is also ginger in it, which seems to make the Bebalung taste a bit unique compared to other beef noodles on the market.
- Sate Rembiga
The ideal thing about Sate Rembiga is its sweet, hot taste, and very tender meat. It is made from beef, cut into small cubes. Sate rembiga is generally served using lontong or steamed rice. You can even buy Plecing Kangkung for a side dish.
- Plecing Kangkung
Plecing Kangkung is generally served with Taliwang Chicken or other Lombok specialties. Plecing Kangkung typically has large stalks, but you can still feel the crunchiness. The cooking process is boiled water, spinach, and bean sprouts mixed with chili sauce made from grated coconut & chili paste.
